When high winds prevented us (Adventure Canada, Scotland Slowly Expedition, 2019) from reaching our planned landing at Loch Coruisk, we went to "Plan B" and found shelter at the adjacent Camasunary Bay where we had never landed before. The stream-fed glen was beneath the magnificent Black Cuillin Mountains where the highest peak reaches almost 1000 m. In many remote, mountainous areas of Scotland, you will find bothies like this one, small basic structures intended for the free use of hikers.
